Net Zero Energy Buildings

Net zero energy buildings use energy-efficient building materials, such as heat pumps, window coatings and insulation, to limit energy use. In addition, they use predominantly on-site energy generation in order to produce all of the energy required to power the buildings. There are a variety of renewable sources that provide energy to net zero buildings, including solar panels and wind turbines. Energy producers and governments are providing incentives to make net zero buildings affordable for a wider variety of businesses and households.
