Compact Development

Compact development means making efficient use of land and other resources by reducing the footprint of new construction, building up rather than out, and preserving green space. Neighborhoods that embrace compact development have greater population density, which supports more stores and restaurants and more transportation options. Compact development also replaces surface parking with structured parking (or less parking).
