Bike Infrastructure

Bike Infrastructure is intentional city planning that encourages bicycling and makes it a safer form of transportation. Bike infrastructure includes networks of bike trails or designated lanes, carefully designed intersections, city bike-share programs and access to secure bike parking, especially near public transport. Cities with better bike infrastructure see an increase in cycling as an alternative to fossil-fuel transport.
