With UrbanPlan, students learn how neighborhoods get built and see inside the complex considerations that go into every street corner. Then, they’ll put that knowledge into action, working side-by-side to reshape a neighborhood!

- Develops twenty-first century skills, such as critical thinking and working in a team.
Bring UrbanPlan to Your School
As a teacher, you have a lot to teach and a limited time to teach it. We get it. That’s why this program packs so much information and skills building into the unit while making it flexible to fit your school’s unique needs. UrbanPlan can be delivered as a full-day workshop as an in-school field trip or over 15 class hours when it is incorporated into a course.
UrbanPlan has been integrated into economics, government, and geography classes and also works well for business, leadership, and design courses. The unit is primarily designed for 16 to 18 year olds, but has successfully been delivered to grade 9 and 10 students as well.
For more information about the program and how to enhance your curriculum with UrbanPlan, check to see if UrbanPlan is already offered near you. Reach out your local team to talk about how to bring UrbanPlan to your school. If UrbanPlan is not yet in your area, reach out to us at [email protected].
